The Dutch Photonics Event, organised annually by the PhotonicsNL association, will cover two days this year, reflecting the rapid growth of the photonics industry. This growth is largely driven by the increasing data demands of AI, forcing a transition from copper to optical fibre based communcation. At the same time, new analysis methods in life sciences, optical data communication and quantum-related research are driving rapid innovation across the photonics field. Our focus at this year’s event will be fibre positioning, demonstrating the importance of accurate and reliable motion in optical alignment.
